cheap motorcycles helmets
motorcycle helmet question?
Alright here is what’s happening…
There is 2 helmets on my mind. I have really no experience in helmetting as I never used one all these years (the law has caught up with me now). I know how expensive some of them get. But I found 2 that are very cheap in price, one extremely cheap. Which one of the 2 is the better one? I have an egg oval shaped face if that helps.

I agree with Jim, If you did ride all these year accident free… be happy! Because you only need one accident and your head knocks down on pavement or car or anything else… and the damage is catastrophic.

I adore bike riding, mostly on track racing…. but on the roads as well.
I buy the best helmet I can effort and in my experience with one helmet was great with one accident and that is Shoei, but I have an Arai as well.
It need to fit well.
The difference with helmet is that the impact will be distributed over the whole helmet and not crack on the impact point. And it need to absorb most of the impact without bring to your head….. and that makes the price difference. There other criteria, like air flow (if you drive long), shade, etc…
Shoei and Arai (Yin/Yan thing) are the most common helmet in racing, because they have a minimum criteria, which in general it’s above the standard.
Although the situation and type of bike will define the type of helmet as well. I would recommend a full helmet on a race-bike.
