How to ride a scooter/motorcycle?

Hello,

I passed my the motorcycle written test last week. Next weekend I’m going to start looking at some scooters, but here is my problem. I’ve never ridden a bike or scooter in my life except a regular bicycle and that really doesn’t count…I think.

I would take the MSF school, but 250 is just out of my budget right now. Do you guys know where I can go to get lessons for a cheaper price? I don’t know anyone who drives a motorcycle or scooter. Are there lessons online I can watch? I just don’t want to crash and hurt myself or anyone. Do you guys have any other ideas?

Thank you :)
I’m planning to get a Piaggio or Kymco scooter around 150cc.
I’m not sure what is wrong with you Vlasko, but the reason I want a scooter is because I don’t want a big motorcycle and I will be using it for work and to save gas.

Don’t be afraid when you practice riding motorcycles, because it will only increase your chances to crash when you ride. The most important thing is enjoyment, and a little bravery, of course.

if you want to practice, maybe you can borrow your friend’s. it’s the best way when you still don’t have your own. the best first place learning for beginners is wide open field ( maybe parking lot ), then move to complex small lane. if you get used, you can try on the real street. and use your friend as an instructor. it’s the best choice and maybe you don’t spend much of your cash.

a scooter is a good idea if you want to save gas and first ride, because it less fuel consume and easy-to-operate. a Piaggio Fly 150 or a Kymco Grand Dink 150 will be a good choice for a metropolitan guy.

but if you want to be looked by the girls, why don’t try a 150 road legal dirt bikes? not only better bodywork, but also more power. a Honda CRF 150 is not wrong to choose
