us motorcycle helmet laws

question about laws concerning helmets?
When riding a motorcycle, do you need to wear an helmet in US? I’m asking because I’m not from US and I’m a little curios….
It varies from state to state. In some you do, in some you don’t. I can tell you for sure that here in Pennsylvania, you don’t have to wear a helmet if you have your license, are over 21 and have been riding for, I think, two years. I won’t rag on people who choose not to wear their helmets if that is what they want to do. They are adults after all and they should be free to decide how they want to live their lives. However I always slip on my Shoei before hitting the road. Maybe I value my pretty face to much. ha! Here is a website that provides the laws for the 50 states.

Right now, I only have a Kawasaki EX500 that I am using to commute back and forth to work but later on, I would like to purchase an older 1970 – 1980 Honda CB750 and mod it into a cafe racer. What is your ride?
